Reorder and delete PDF pages visually

Fixing the structure of a PDF is much easier when you can see the pages. This organize PDF tool renders a thumbnail of every page and lets you drag them into a new order or remove the ones you do not need, then rebuilds a fresh PDF from your arrangement. It is the visual version of reordering and deleting pages: instead of typing page numbers, you simply drag a page to a new spot or click the × to drop it. Everything happens in your browser, so the document is never uploaded to a server.

pdfjs-dist draws the page previews locally and pdf-lib copies the pages you keep into a new document in the order you set, using copyPages. Because pages are copied rather than re-rendered as images, the text stays sharp and selectable and the file is not recompressed. That keeps quality identical to the original while giving you full control over the layout.

Drag, drop and remove

Grab any thumbnail and drop it before or after another page to change the sequence. Use the × button to delete a page you no longer want, such as a blank scan, a duplicate or a cover sheet that belongs elsewhere. If you change your mind, the reset button restores the original document so you can start again. The position numbers update as you work, so you always know how the final file will be ordered.

When this helps

Visual organizing is ideal for scanned packets that arrived out of order, reports that need an appendix moved to the end, application bundles that must follow a checklist, or any document with a few stray pages to remove. Keep the original PDF until you have opened the rebuilt download and confirmed that the pages are in the intended order and that nothing important was deleted. For splitting a range into a separate file or rotating pages, use those dedicated tools as additional steps.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to reorganize it?
No. pdfjs-dist renders the thumbnails and pdf-lib rebuilds the file in your browser, so the document stays on your device.
How do I reorder pages?
Drag a page thumbnail and drop it where you want it. The new order is used when you build the final PDF.
How do I delete a page?
Click the × button on a thumbnail to remove that page. You can restore everything with the reset button before downloading.
Does this change page quality?
No. Pages are copied into a new PDF with pdf-lib, not re-rendered as images, so the original quality is preserved.
