Page order mistakes are common when scans arrive out of sequence, a cover page belongs in the middle, or attachments need to follow a specific application checklist. This reorder PDF pages tool lets you fix the sequence directly in your browser. Choose a PDF, type the desired order as a comma-separated list and download a new file with the pages copied into that sequence. No document is uploaded, queued or stored on a server.
The tool uses pdf-lib to copy existing PDF pages into a new document. Because pages are copied instead of rendered as images, the visual quality stays the same and normal page content is not recompressed. A small thumbnail preview is rendered locally with pdfjs-dist to help you identify page numbers before you build the final copy. That is useful for mixed packets where page titles or signatures matter more than the original page numbers.
Writing the page order
Enter each page number once, separated by commas. For a four-page file, writing 3,1,2,4 moves page three to the front and keeps the remaining pages after it. The tool validates that the list contains only whole numbers, that every number is within the document's page count and that no page is repeated or missing. If the validation message appears, correct the list and try again.
Useful workflows
Reordering is helpful for scanned contracts, homework packets, invoices, forms, statements and presentation handouts. You can place a cover sheet first, move appendices to the end, or fix a scanner feeder mistake without starting over. Keep the original PDF until you have opened the reordered download and confirmed that the pages are in the intended sequence. If you also need to remove pages, split a range, rotate pages or merge files, use those tools as separate steps so each operation remains easy to verify.
